Home Parliaments – EU Holiday, Education, And More
Most us are in favour of opportunities for citizen participation. The organization Pulse of Europe has developed a process which facilitates exactly this with a process they call “home parliaments”. The current session lasts till December 6 and deals with the following 3 questions:
1. Should there be a joint European Public Holiday to commemorate Europe’s shared history and values
2. Should history education in Europe’s schools provide more common European content and go beyond national narratives?
3, Should EU enlargement be accelerated for countries with candidate status?
Interested in discussing these topics and feeding the results of our discussions to high level European politicians? Write to us niceto@meeteu.eu.
We offer to facilitate such a European Home Parliament for MeetEU.
LET'S MAKE EUROPE A
BETTER PLACE
United in diversity – that’s the motto we share at MeetEU! Since April 2020, we have been organizing weekly events with Members of the European Parliament, European Commission representatives, EU activists and scientists. At our events, participants can discuss their ideas directly with decision-makers and experts.
Our mission is to bring EU citizens closer to EU politics. Our event participants join from all over Europe. We all come from different backgrounds. But once a week, we come together with one goal: to share perspectives and make Europe a better place.
MeetEU is a project run by volunteers
